Corazones Cosidos– photographs
Since I made the photograph series Integración and La Pena/ Sorrow (and the accompanying videos) during the tail-end of the pandemic lockdown, I acted as my own model. In this work, I mean to assume the role of an archetype representing the human experience touched by sorrow, trauma, and suffering to consider how we can work towards healing within ourselves. I chose to photograph myself in a mourning cloak in breathtaking landscapes to illustrate the coexistence of beauty and loss in the world.
